comprising: a mantel clock surmounted by a pair of shepherd lovers attended with sheep and a dog and four further figures below, dancing and playing instruments, all raised on three scroll-molded feet, set on a similarly shaped stand and two six-branch, seven-light candelabra, all with crossed swords marks in blue, the clock incised No: 1047.
Condition
In good condition except:
All with some occasional minor chips or losses to the tips of the applied flowers, leaves or to a few of the scroll-molded ends, some of which are restored.
The clock and stand: The group at the top has some restoration and overspray to the base where it meets the clock; it is possible that the group may have been off and restored back; the restoration is very well done. The male figure's right hand fingers are chipped and there is a small chip to the brim of his hat. The group at the bottom: the male dancing figure's hat has a tiny chip to the edge. There is a small flat chip to the lower body of the clock behind the dancing couple and some overspray to the surrounding area.
The candelabra: The first: Two drippans are restored. The stem of the branching candelabrum where it meets the pillar-shaped middle section has been broken at the joint and put back together with riveted repairs, which are old and flaking. There is a 3/4-inch chip to one of the scroll feet. The second: One leaf of one drippan has been broken off and restored back. One branching arm is extensively restored covering a break; the restoration is old and is flaking. The section where the candelabrum meets the middle section has a small chip which appears to have chipped away from an old restoration.
