each modelled kneeling with a quiver of arrows before a flowering bocage, one aiming his bow and arrow, the other holding a flaming heart, on a puce and gilt scroll- and rocaille-molded base, surmounted by a turquoise and gilt foliate-molded nozzle and bobĂȘche and affixed at the back with a looped handle.

Condition

Both with minor chips and losses to the flowers and leaves of the bocages and garlands around the cupids. Cupid with bow and arrow: the end of the arrow in his hand is chipped away; an approximate 1 3/4-in section of the drapery running between his wings has been broken out and repaired; ends of the quiver's ribbon chipped; minor pinhead chips to the edge of the molded shell at the front of the base; minor chip to the foot at the back of the base. Cupid with flaming heart: minor chip to the edge of the bobĂȘche; one wing chipped away; the loops and one tail of the quiver's ribbon chipped away; restored chip to the edge of the molded shell and adjacent scroll at the front of the base; minor chips to the foot at the back of the base
