Similar undecorated examples of chestnut baskets and covers with the same distinctive knop are illustrated in Peter Walton, Creamware and other English Pottery at Temple Newsam House, Leeds, pp. 136 and 137, no. 539, 544, and 546. A similar pair of baskets, covers and stands, from the Collection of Patricia Kluge, was sold by Sotheby's at Albermarle House in Charlottesville, Virginia, June 9, 2003, lot 491.
