A Louis XV-style gilt-bronze mantel clock, French, circa 1850

4-inch cast gilt dial with enamel cartouche numerals and signed Leroi A Paris, the movement with adjustable steel suspension, outside countwheel striking on a bell, signed Douillon and as the dial, the case surmounted by the naked Venus emerging from a giant scallop shell and flanked by metamorphic putti blowing conch shells, above hippocampi, dolphins, a mask and shell scrolls 

Dial in good condition. Movement running at time of cataloguing but may benefit from fresh oil. Case in good clean condition. With pendulum, 2 winders and 2 regulation keys.
