Condition

Overall in good condition and presentation, with some scuffs, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. The leather is replacement and has a few minor scuffs. The mounts show dirt in recesses, oxidation adn minor pitting consistent with age and atmospheric conditions.

Catalogue Note

A. Chevrié is recorded as working from 1878 at 11 rue Portefoin, at rue Braque from 1886 and 7 rue Debelleyme at the end of the century. He participated in the 1878 and 1889 Exposition Universelles, winning a silver medal in 1889. He was also awarded the Légion d'Honneur in 1894.
