Description

each with a globular body raised on a tall splayed foot rising to the waisted neck surmounted by an everted lipped rim, the body decorated with multiple wide bands of lotus scrolls issuing feathery foliage and large multi-coloured flower-heads against a ground of turquoise-blue, each band interspersed by a narrow band of stylised blossoms against a deep blue ground, the neck further cast with six evenly distributed raised flower-head bosses

Condition

Both vases have typical chips to the enamels, especially along the edges, some with traces of old restoration. The floral bosses around the neck of one vase have been reinforced. There are expected bubbling to the enamels, as well as rubbing and tanishing to the gilt-bronze wires.
