of rectangular section, set to the neck with a pair of elephant-head handles suspending loose rings, carved to the front and back with stylized taotie masks, above lotus blooms separated by a bounded angular strap work issuing foliate scrolls, the domed cover surmounted by a lion playing a brocade ball, the lustrously polished stone of a mottled white colour with dark and apple green highlights, wood stand
