Description

  • porcelain
sturdily potted, the interior carved with a beribboned lotus bouquet, surrounded around the well by a composite floral scroll repeated on the exterior between foliate and key-fret borders, a further foliate scroll encircling the thick rim

Condition

There is a hairline crack to the inner rim measuring approx. 5.3 cm and 0.8 cm on the exterior. There is also a tiny approx. 0.4 by 0.3 cm infill to the interior. There are also characteristic firing imperfections, the most significant a firing crack (partially under the glaze) measuring approx. 4.6 cm to the base. The dish is otherwise in generally good condition.
