each enamelled against a bright yellow ground with clusters of pink peonies framing an iron-red seal mark reading Tiandi yijia chun ('Heaven and earth enjoying spring as one') and a Daya zhai ('Studio of Great Elegance') mark, the underside enamelled with three detached floral sprays on a white ground, the base inscribed in iron red with a four-character mark reading Yongqing changchun ('Eternal joy and everlasting spring')

Condition

One dish has some frittings to the rim, with the largest loss measuring approx. 1.4 cm. The overall condition of the pair is otherwise quite good with the enamels generally well preserved.
