modelled as a lotus leaf with sides generously swept up and furling at the edges forming a basin, joined to a lotus pod hollowed out into a smaller vessel, all supported on reeds tucked under the washer and issuing stems wrapped around the sides of the washer

Acquired in Salisbury, 15th July 2006, lot 196.

Condition

It is in overall good condition, except for some expected nibbles to the extremities, some of which might have slightly polished down. The actual colour is richer and less yellowish than that of the catalogue illustration.
