globular, raised on three lion feet, set with mythical beast masks handles, the stepped domed cover surmounted by a mythical beast finial, decorated with multi-coloured lotus wreathed in foliate scrolls against a turquoise ground, the base inset with a gilt-bronze plaque cast with an apocryphal four-character Jingtai mark

Condition

The incense burner and cover are in overall good condition. There are areas of pitting and areas of losses to the enamel. There is oxidation to the interior of both. There is also light surface wear and dents to the edges of the gilt finial, handles and feet.
