Description

  • bronze
possibly Akshobhya, seated in vajraparyankasana on a lotus base, the left hand in samadi mudra and the right extended palm down towards the earth, dressed in a finely incised dhoti draping one shoulder leaving his torso bare, his face with fine features set in a benevolent expression

Condition

There are a few typical areas of wear of oxidization to the gilding, all consistent with age and the type, but overall the gilt-bronze figure is in very good condition. The base is sealed.
