  • soapstone
of rectangular section, surmounted by a 'phoenix' finial, the seal face carved with a three-character inscription reading Lian shi xuan, the stone of a warm orange-brown colour with pale brown streaks

Ling collection, Taiwan.
A private Japanese collection.

Condition

The seal is in overall good with just expected minute nicks to the edges of the seal face and the extremities of the finial. There are also two tiny bruises to the edges of the seal face. The catalogue illustration is redder than the actual colour of the stone.
