the everted foliate rim divided into six lobes, the interior with a peony flower and leaves carved and combed in painterly strokes, applied with a transparent glaze with a bluish colour pooling to a deeper tone around the foot

A private Japanese collection.

Condition

The overall condition is very good except for some slight fritting along the rim and light surface scratches. There are a few firing specks incliding a burst air bubble to the interior. There are also a few shallow flakes to the inner footrim, all consistent with age and type.
