Description

  • ceramic
the vase applied with a thick brownish-black glaze suffused with rust-brown specks and freely painted with stylised petals, the glaze stopping around the lower body revealing the stoneware

Condition

There is a small chip in the glaze to the mouthrim approx. 0.8 cm, and further minor nicks around the rim. There are some surface scratches to the glaze and a few old chips to the footrim of the --- most likely original to the potting.
