Description

  • ceramic
with an everted rim, the interior applied with a pair of scaly fish, the exterior incised with petals, covered overall with an attractive sea-green glaze, the neatly cut footring left unglazed revealing a greyish ware partly burnt orange in the firing

Condition

The dish is in overall good condition. There is a small irregular hairline in the glaze of approx. 1.5 cm to the underside of the rim at 7 o'clock, possibly original, as well as a radiant glaze crack to the footring, measuring approx. 1.5 cm. There are some minute flakes to the underside of the footrim and surface wear to the interior.
