the bowl deeply potted with a flaring rim, applied all over in an olive-coloured glaze pooling to a deeper tone in the recesses of the carved concentric borders around the exterior of the rim, the jar covered overall save the countersunk base in a persimmon-coloured glaze

Condition

The overall condition of the bowl is good. There are some typical firing flaws, including glaze pulls around the foot. The jar is also in good condition. There is a potting flaw to the rim, small glaze gaps around the foot and occasional pin-prick air bubbles to the body (as visible in the catalogue illustration).
