Condition

This work is in good condition overall. There is evidence of slight scattered creases, only visible upon very close examination and light wax pencil marks across the surface of the work, consistent with the artist's practice. The sheet is affixed to the mat at four points by tapes along the upper edge. On the verso, the lower left and lower right corners show minor signs of surface abrasion from previous adhesive but this does not interfere with the image. Framed under glass.

"You see, whatever I've done would not have been possible without Andy. Had Andy not broken the concept of what art is supposed to be, I just wouldn't have been able to exist."
Keith Haring

Keith Haring and Andy Warhol met after Warhol's second exhibition in New York at the Tony Shafrazi Gallery in 1984. In 1986, Haring started creating series of Andy Mouse screen prints to immortalize Warhol with a character inspired by both artists' mutual admiration for Walt Disney.
