Catalogue Note

Rolf Sachs is internationally recognized for his multi-disciplinary approach to design. Between conceptualism and design,  this London-based artist is inspired by the everyday life and aims to renew our emotional connections with familiar objects.  Lampion, 2006, is part of an extensive neon light collection in which Sachs associated an investigation of the limits of argon and neon with the competence of a glassblower to create the impression of light in motion within ready-made glassware.
