General title and four divisional titles, each with separate foliation and register, black letter, double-column text, 61 or 62 lines to a full column, woodcut initials; general title mounted and defective in blank portions, headline on 2G4 gone, headline and a few lines of text on 2L1 torn away, 2K1 remargined and with hole in text, lacks 2K8 and final leaf Oo8, Oo1–7 (Revelations and first page of the Table) defective with substantial loss of text, many side-notes shaved or cropped, occasional dampstaining and light text browning. Eighteenth-century mottled calf, double-filleted gilt border, spine gilt with Dysart arms at foot, edges sprinkled red; rebacked, repairs to corners, endpapers renewed.

Catalogue Note
According to a note by Fry, this edition was printed for circulation in Ireland. On the blank page facing the New Testament is an inscription: "Thomas knight his booke given him by his father Robert knight of Elinge in the counti of southfhampton meler [i.e., miller], In the yeare of our lord god a thousand five hundred four score and seven tene" [1597]. ESTC notes ten copies in institutions.
