16mo (4 1/2 x 3 ins.; 115 x 75 mm). Numerous text woodcuts in Gospels and Revelation, device of Christ on title; lacks all preliminary signatures following title until a1 (33 leaves), title-page rubbed and slightly defective, very light occasional stain. Eighteenth-century red morocco gilt with central gilt device, gilt and gauffered edges; joints and spine ends rubbed.

A very rare edition of Tyndale's translation in a fine early binding.

An edition which for the longest time was known in only a single copy, the example sold in the Earl of Ashburnham sale for £130. ESTC now adds four others in the U.K., but only a single copy in the United States.
