4to (8 1/2 x 6 1/4 in.; 216 x 159 mm). Second title ("The Newe Testament in Englyshe & in Latin. Novum Testamentum Anglice et Latine") within woodcut border bearing the initials HH and depicting the story of Mutius and Porsena at the bottom, black letter text printed in two columns, with English on the inside and Latin on the outside in a smaller point size, two woodcuts each of the Evangelists at the beginning of each Gospel, numerous woodcut initials; lacking first four leaves of preliminaries, (including general title), second title remargined with minor loss to woodcut border and text on verso, lower outer corners of quires A–C frayed with some loss to Latin text in A–B, slightly affecting text in C, upper corner of M2 torn and long closed tear on X2 slightly affecting text, small hole on EE4 costing a few letters in Latin, occasional dampstaining, colophon page age-darkened. Modern half calf over marbled boards, spine lettered gilt.
