Catalogue Note
A second copy of Walton's Polyglot, accompanied by Edmund Castell's Lexicon heptaglotton. Although Walton mentions a forthcoming lexicon in his preface to the Bible, Castell's work is essentially a supplement and forms no integral part of Walton's publication, although the two are often found bound uniformly, as here.
This copy of the Polyglot contains the two-page dedication to Charles II, as well as the "loyal" version of the preface. It also includes an expanded errata slip to the prologue, which is pasted over the printed errata on CC2r.
