Condition
The ivory sleeve with three vertical splits, one broader with three small circular holes made deliberately. The silver-gilt mounts in overall good condition. Cleaning could be improved. Cover finial slightly bent.
Engraved under the base with monogram M, a flag and a baton under the base and inventory number 1594. A very small assay scrape under the base, near the border.
Very nice quality.
