- gold and polychrome enamel
of waisted form, decorated with portraits, including couples, and youths, between columns of polychrome floral motifs, with a light blue enamel ground and tooled gold decoration, the base with a band of lobes each containing an animal, including a lion, rabbit, duck, partridge, and deer among others, interior with turquoise enamel ground
Condition
In overall good condition, very fine enamelling, four drill holes near base for attaching, minor dents to rim, some losses with associated retouching, including overpainting particularly around rim with light associated discoloration, interior with turquoise enamel with minor chips and associated restoration and overpainting as visible by slightly different coloration, as viewed.
