- ink on paper, bound leather
the octagonal barrel of watered-steel clasped to the forestock with five silver bands, the entire length of the stock applied with pierced silver mounts of scrolling foliate form with rosettes towards the butt, silver butt-plate, the steel lock-plate and cock en-suite with inlaid chased silver flowers with leather and silver-gilt thread covering, the ramrod with silver casing
Condition
The condition is generally good, there is a small tear to leather strap, some niks in the wood and areas of minor oxidisation on the metal and silver decorations, with very few minor sections of silver inlay decoration missing, as viewed.
