Description

the gold body rendered in the form of a bird, decorated with polychrome enamels, the breast, wings set with colourful stones with petalled collars, the beak, wing and tail-feathers with drop-pearl pendants, the reverse enamelled with floral motifs on a gold ground, with enamel link and pin for hanging

Condition

In good condition overall, bright, the enamelling on beak chipped off, glass coloured stones, the miniature pearls hanging with possibly some later replacements, two on the tail missing, some ware to enamelling, notably to top of head, reverse of bird and on chain, clip at top for hanging of later date, as viewed.
