Condition

The canvas is not lined. There are a few areas of hairlines craquelures in the lower part of the composition, notably in the blue and green pigments. There is a 2 by 3 cm area of yellowing varnish (approx. 8.5 cm from the right edge and 13 cm from the upper edge) with a few additional dots of yellowing varnish to the centre of the cloud. Under UV light, there are a few thin lines and very small dots of retouching relating to slight frame rubbing along the extreme edges. Apart from some very minor flecks of paint loss in places, this work is in very good condition.
