Condition
The canvas is lined and there is a thick layer of milky varnish preventing the UV light from fully penetrating. However, UV examination does reveals fine lines of infiling to the sitter's arm and legs relating to stable craquelure. There is a stroke of retouching to the lower right corner and some tiny surrounding spots. Some tiny flecks towards the centre of the lower edge. One spot of retouching to the lower left corner away from the signature. There are some possible further retouching along the extreme edges. Otherwise this work is in fairly good condition.
