Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examniation reveals retouching to a 10 cm repaired tear corresponding to a patch on the reverse. There are two further flecks of retouching to the upper left quadrant away from the sitter. There is a dent in the canvas towards the centre of the upper edge. There are some fine lines of craquellure barely visible in a normal light. This work is in overall good condition.
