Description

  • An Egyptian Banded Alabaster Jar

of slender cylindrical form with concave sides and everted rounded rim.

Mrs. Mina Merrill Prindle (1864-1963), Duluth, Minnesota and Pasadena, California, acquired from the above July 7th, 1922
thence by descent to the present owners

Condition

There is a stress crack down much of one side and halfway down there is what appears to be a small patch composed of plaster and alabaster. Small nicks and abrasions on the rim, a largish ancient chip on the edge of the base, along with minor nicks, some staining on one side, remnants of tape under the concave foot.
