  • An Attic Black-figured Lekythos
  • Height 23.1 cm. 8 in.
painted with a youth holding a hydria between two youths holding javlins, each with halteres at his feet.

Condition

Repaired from several fragments with what appear to be areas of restoration concentrated on the body on either side of the handle axis. White ground is worn and painted over in most places. Very minor retouching on figures. Area of black glaze above foot misfired. 259 written on paper label in late 19th or early 20th century hand on underside base.
