- A Roman Marble Portrait Head of a Woman

- Height 27 cm. 10 5/8 in.
the neck carved for insertion into a statue, her eyes with incised irises and pupils, the eyebrows incised, her centrally parted hair arranged in a melon coiffure, braided in multiple strands and once coiled in a chignon at the back (formerly restored), spiral curls escaping over the nape of the neck; nose restored in plaster.
