- A Cycladic Marble Figure of a Goddess

- Height from base 14 cm. 5 1/2 in.
of early Spedos type, lying with her tapering arms folded beneath her breasts, with angular shoulders, cylindrical neck, and large head with convex oval facial plane; no restorations.

Condition
Proper right foot is missing. Front of proper left foot is missing (fresh break). 1960s photos show left foot in place, but this could be a restauration. There is no trace of glue or cement on the break. Repaired at knees. Back of head slight abraded. Nose appears dented. Area of abrasion on side of proper right thigh. Areas of incrustation, especially on chest, shoulders and face. Painted metal stand wrapped too tightly around waist figure.
