Description
- A Marble Votive Figure of Kybele
- marble
- Height 18 cm. 7 1/8 in.
enthroned with her feet on a footrest, and holding a phiale in her right hand and formerly a tympanum in her now missing left hand, and wearing a girdled chiton and himation falling from her left shoulder and draped over her lap, her long hair surmounted by a polos, a seated lion to her right; no restorations.

Condition
Surface slightly weathered. Front of base chipped. Front of proper right foot missing. Note missing corner of throne (proper left) and missing left hand probably once holding a tympanum. Abraded proper right hand. Edges of patera chipped and abraded. Chip on front of drapery folds covering lap. Top of polos chipped all around, especially in front.
