Oil on canvas. Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: in good condition aside from surface dirt and old, dirty (probably original) varnish. UNDER UV: No apparent inpainting.

Charles Herbert Woodbury was a marine artist who specialized in depicting the New England coast. He founded the Ogunquit School, the well-known summer art colony in Ogunquit, Maine.
