As noted by Geraldine Banks, "In addition to his oils, pastels and watercolors, Kaye created a body of etchings of his own design. He refined his skills by making copper plate line for line copies of etchings by Durer, Rembrandt, Goya, Renoir, and Picasso" (Otis Kaye: Money, Mystery and Mastery, New Britain, Connecticut, p. 86).
