Overall condition very good, with no damage or restoration detected. There are a series of subtle horizontal folds/lines where the shoulders of the vase invert into the neck. There are occasional feint dark carbon deposits within these folds – which had occurred during the making of the vase. The main body of the vase is a translucent dark purple. The photograph in the printed catalogue makes the yellow flowers appear slightly greenish yellow – in reality they are closer to a more attractive lemon yellow. In our opinion the vase as a whole presents well with good form, color and movement.
