Condition
Overall very good condition with no damage or restoration detected. There is a rough section to the underside of the work which appears to be where part of the raised pontil was broken off after the work cooled following execution. Please note that the color in the published photograph of the work is not accurate. In reality the blue is a cooler more vivid shade, not the dull purple/blue depicted. In addition the leaf has surface decoration of fine gold powders which are not evident in the catalogue. Overall in our opinion the work is far stronger and more attractive in reality.
