Condition

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the mirror presents with great scale and extraordinary detailing to the roses. The patinated surfaces have been sensitively refreshed at some point in the history of the piece and present with minor scattered surface scratches, a few minor edge abrasions and light surface soiling to the recessed areas, consistent with age and gentle handling. The patina with minor rubbing to the raised portions of the design, not at all visually distracting. The mirror has likely been replaced at some point in the history of the piece and the mirrored glass presents with a few minor surface scratches and light surface dirt around the perimeter, only visible upon close inspection. A rare example of Brandt's masterful technique, with great presence when viewed in person.
