- "Jack-in-the-Pulpit" Vase
- engraved L.C.T. W5823
- favrile glass
Condition
Overall in very good condition. With a few scattered minute air bubble and particulate inclusions, and the upper fan with some minor subtle tool marks, all inherent in the making and not visually detracting to the vase. The surfaces with some occasional light surface scratches. The foot with a few successive surface scratches adjacent to the outer perimeter and with one small area of surface residue. The exterior of the vase is beautifully iridized, and when viewed with reflected light displays a brilliant range of luminous jewel-tone hues. The catalogue illustration shows the vase partially back-lit with remitted light and does not show the full range of its color. A fine example displaying strong form and color.
