  • Clock, Model No. 252
  • impressed ENGLISH PEWTER/0252

Condition

Overall condition consistent with age and use. The pewter surfaces present with a few very minute abrasions, light tarnish and a few minute scattered surface scratches, consistent with age and gentle handling. The front of the clock presents with faint discoloration of the silver adjacent to the decorative elements, visible on the catalogue illustration. Minor surface dirt and light oxidation between the edges of the circular enamel cabochon. The hour hand is lacking. The enamel has been examined under black light and shows no evidence of prior restoration. Minute loss of enamel to the dial around the edge of the hole where the hands meets the clock movement. Movement by Lenzkirch and numbered 792888. One original winding key fitted with the back movement visit door. The movement is not guaranteed to run at the time of cataloguing and was not tested for accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer’s discretion. This clock was part of the Warshawsky collection.
