Condition
The canvas has not been lined. There is a pattern of craquelure throughout the surface with some associated scattered spots of flaking, notably in the brown background to the upper right, in the grape in the centre of the composition and in the upper left quadrant. Ultra-violet light reveals scattered spots of retouching, including: strokes along the upper and right edge, clusters in the vase with the grapes and in the light green bottle in the upper right quadrant. Overall, the work presents well.
Presented in a gilt frame.
