Sale: Christie's, London, 19 November 1993, lot 125

Condition

The canvas has not been lined. Ultra-violet light reveals scattered strokes of retouching notably in her face, in the left leg, in the upper right quadrant and an area in the upper left addressing some old repair. Some of the retouching in the background is visible to the naked eye, however it is not too distracting. Overall, the picture presents well and is ready to hang. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a nameplate.
