Condition
The canvas has been lined. There are some faint stretcher marks visible to the four edges and a very fine pattern of craquelure visible in the sky. Ultra-violet light reveals an area of retouching (9 by 6cm) to the right of the standing figures and some strokes in the street lamp just above. Other strokes of retouching are visible in the upper right corner and along the upper stretcher bar mark; there are also some minor scattered spots in the sky. The overall appearance of the work is good and the picture is ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame.
