Condition
Overall, the condition of the terracotta is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age, with particular dirt in the crevices. There is a slip to the surface which may conceal some condition points such as possible reattachments. There are a few minor chips to the high points of the foliage.
There are a few slightly open, but stable, splits to the ebonised wood socle, consistent with the material.. There are some small chips to the wood, notably to the bottom edge of the socle.
