Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is very good, with minor wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age. There is some rubbing to the patina at the high points, including the nose and the top of the head. The lion is cast separately from the terrasse and stable joints are visible. An original casting joint is slightly visible at the tail. There are a few minor scratches, including to the proper right hind leg and to the base, where there is also some minor staining. The base sits slightly unevenly on a flat surface.
