Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some light veining to the marble consistent with the material, including to the woman's chest and proper left arm. There are a few dirt marks, including to the woman's proper left elbow, the putto's buttocks, the woman's drapery around the proper right hand, and the base at the back. There is a naturally occurring filled inclusion to the woman's proper left elbow. There are a few minor chips to the edges of the drapery and the edges of the base.
