Condition
Overall very good condition consistent with age and gentle use. As noted in the catalogue, this lot originally formed part of a set of two sets of three vitrines at their original location at the BUGRA exhibition in Leipzig, and therefore have been reimagined as a pair. The side panels of both cabinets have been reveneered, and the scalloped side elements of the bases have been replaced. Both cabinets have been re-ebonised and present very well overall. 5 hairlines within the scallops of the base to one cabinet, right hand proper, each 15 cm running vertically and appear stable. Very minor air bubbles to the glass throughout, inherent in their manufacture. One key is provided with this lot. The back of one cabinet with a complete paper label for the Internationale Ausstellung Fur Buchgewerbe und Graphik Leipzig, 1914. The other cabinet with an identical but partial label, with a further partial label identical to that of one cabinet in lot 55.
