Overall very good condition consistent with age. There is minor dirt and evidence of oxidation in recessed areas of the design. The gilt finish with scattered spotty wear throughout, consistent with a bronze work of this age. Next to the 'Larche' stampe, there is a small spot of green oxidation. The upper edge of the vase with a horizontal line of minor pin-head size casting irregularities to the finish, but not visually distracting. The liner with very minor scattered scuffs and oxidation. Overall the vase is very sculptural and impressively modelled, demonstrating varying levels of relief. The gilt bronze patina further accentuates these organic undulations and sculptural elements, further adding depth and movement to this sizable work. A wonderful example, demonstrating Larche's technical and creative abilities as a sculptor at the turn of the century.
